Mexico City, Feb 16th, 2026 — C3ntro Telecom (“C3ntro”), a Mexico-headquartered digital infrastructure and international telecommunications carrier, today announced the execution of a syndicated project finance facility provided by PROPARCO and DEG (KfW Group) to support the development of its first cross-border long-haul fiber project.
The financing will support the Mexican segment of a first-of-its-kind 2,700-kilometer fiber network connecting hyperscale data centers in Querétaro, Mexico and Phoenix, Arizona—two strategic digital infrastructure hubs experiencing rapid growth driven by increasing hyperscale and Ai demand. One of the most ambitious digital infrastructure developments in Latin America in the past 25 years.
The project is expected to strengthen Mexico’s long-haul fiber infrastructure, establish a new high-capacity connectivity corridor between Mexico and the United States, and advance broader objectives related to digital inclusion, economic development and regional competitiveness, including improved connectivity across underserved corridors along the route, while being developed in alignment with applicable international environmental and social (E&S) standards.
“Closing this syndicated facility with PROPARCO and DEG (KfW Group) is a defining milestone for C3ntro and for Mexico’s digital infrastructure,” said Simón Masri, President of C3ntro Telecom. “Beyond enabling disciplined execution, this project is designed to deliver meaningful benefits for Mexico - strengthening backbone connectivity, helping narrow the digital divide by improving access and quality of service along underserved regions and Cities along the route, and supporting long-term economic growth and competitiveness as the country accelerates its digital transition”.
“This transaction moves us decisively from vision and planning to full-scale execution,” said Eli Sitt, CEO at C3ntro Telecom. “We value the partnership with PROPARCO and DEG (KfW Group) and their shared focus on building resilient infrastructure that expands opportunity—supporting nearshoring, cloud growth, and meaningful progress in narrowing the digital divide.”
