Over the next five years, <\/span>C3ntro Telecom<\/span><\/strong> will invest more than <\/span>$100 million<\/span><\/strong> in Mexico to deploy approximately <\/span>10,000 kilometers<\/span><\/strong> of fiber optic cable, according to Eli Sitt, the company\u2019s Vice President.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe currently have 1,000 kilometers of fiber deployed across major cities. Our plan is to add another 2,000 kilometers in metropolitan areas, plus an additional 7,000 kilometers of long-distance intercity interconnections,\u201d Sitt explained. “In total, we are looking at a 10,000-kilometer rollout over the next three to five years.”<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The expansion targets major hubs like <\/span>Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey<\/span><\/strong>, though the company has an aggressive medium-term roadmap to establish infrastructure in all primary markets. Despite the current macroeconomic climate, Sitt remains confident: \u201cThe demand is imminent; it\u2019s coming.\u201d<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cInternet demand is surging. With the arrival of <\/span>5G<\/span><\/strong>, fiber optic infrastructure has become a ‘must’ for these new technologies to thrive. The rationale behind this investment is this growing demand. We know there is still significant room for growth and a shortage of supply in the country,\u201d the executive noted.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sitt also emphasized the company\u2019s commitment to Mexico\u2019s progress. \u201cWe believe we can make an impact and contribute to the country\u2019s much-needed development,\u201d he stated.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A Modern, Carrier-Class Network<\/span><\/p>\n

Fiber optic networks are essential for high-speed internet and serve as the backbone for mobile providers by connecting the cell towers that enable mobile communication. C3ntro Telecom\u2019s network is brand new and designed specifically for operators seeking scalable services.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBy building this new network with cutting-edge transport equipment, we\u2019ve created a <\/span>redundant, robust, and carrier-class system<\/span><\/strong> with high upload and download capacities\u2014a network that simply doesn’t exist in the market today,\u201d Sitt added.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He pointed out that existing networks are often over 25 years old and designed for residential use, leading to lower availability and frequent outages. In contrast, this new network promises <\/span>high availability<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur value proposition rests on three pillars: the scope of our metro and long-distance network, the technology (featuring <\/span>144-strand fiber<\/span><\/strong> in every segment), and our commercial model,\u201d the VP highlighted.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Government Collaboration<\/span><\/p>\n

Sitt expressed openness to dialogue with local and state governments regarding the development and use of these networks. Regarding <\/span>CFE Telecomunicaciones e Internet para Todos<\/span><\/strong>, he mentioned they are awaiting the tenders previously discussed by the Presidency and will be ready to analyze potential collaboration opportunities.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
